Cairo, Egypt – May 9, 2021 – CEQUENS has launched a charity initiative in collaboration with Orman Association aimed at reducing some burden and caring for the families most in need. Together, CEQUENS and Orman distributed Ramadan boxes which include the necessary food items that can sustain these families located in Kerdasa, Giza. The initiative also aims to consolidate the principle of social solidarity and community responsibility, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan.
Alaa Tarek, Sr. Internal Communication Lead at CEQUENS, expressed her happiness with leading the initiative, which she considered a positive step that opens the door to many future charitable projects in cooperation with Orman Association.
Mahmoud Fouad, Deputy Director-General of Orman Association, praised the fruitful bilateral cooperation with CEQUENS and its aim to bring pleasure to the families most in need, including widows, patients, and low-income laborers during the holy month of Ramadan. Fouad also stressed on the Association's keenness through its charitable work to implement sustainable development goals, and to provide its community services to the largest segment of the neediest citizens in villages and poor hamlets all over Egypt.
It is worth mentioning that the distribution of food boxes during the month of Ramadan is aligned with Orman Association’s program that aims at supplying unable families with small and micro-development projects and providing them with medical services for eye treatments and heart and cancer patients. The Association also distributes sacrificial meat on the days of Eid al-Adha and winter blankets at the beginning of the winter season.
This year, CEQUENS joins Orman Association’s partners of success, and we are excited for more charitable activities to come as part of our corporate social responsibility efforts.
